The Unique Meunier's Footprint ...

Anchored in the Taillet-Régnier house, the king of Vallée de la Marne grape variety has always been the precious link between the Terroir and the wine that flows from it: Sur le Grand Marais, Bansionensi, and Le Bois de Binson represent the strongholds and atypical of my attachment to this fabulous grape variety that is Meunier.

BRUT NATURE

The two grape varieties are planted and dispersed on the same plot (plot complantation), harvested at once to obtain the best maturity for the Meunier and the freshness of the Chardonnay.

Blend: 90% Meunier and 10% Chardonnay from Baslieux Sous Châtillon

Sustainable viticulture, central grassing, mechanical plowing without chemical herbicides. Treatments and sprays with pure algae and certified organic trace elements.

Nose: A lively first impression of citrus aromas as well as white fruits. It then develops on more delicate and lighter brioche notes.

Palate: The nose echoes the palate. The bubbles transmit freshness and dynamism.

The palate is a continuation of the nose and confirms the notes of citrus aromas and touches of white fruits.

BLANC DE MEUNIER

MULTI VINTAGE 2014-2015

EXTRA-BRUT

The old Meunier vines planted on this plot are full of emotions. They offer us the quintessence of Meunier, a grape variety revealing the Terroir. A single plot, “Le Bois de Binson”, a single variety of grapes, the Meunier, a unique know-how, Eric TAILLET.

Blend: 100% Meunier

Terroir: Eponymous plot of “Bois de Binson” in Montigny-sous-Châtillon. The average age of the vines is 62 years (one of the oldest in the estate)

Soils: Clay and limestone

Aging: minimum aging 36 months in the cellar, on slats and points, with cork stopper and staple.

Quantity: 1000 to 1500 bottles per year

Nose :  The Meunier alone, expresses  the real and authentic power of its aromas.

Very aromatic, very elegant and expressive.

Toasted aromas of brioche, hazelnuts, against balance of nuts by soft touches of delicate fruits such as yellow peach.

A wine for gourmets. Power, tension, but soft and soft.

In the mouth, a full and round sensation which echoes the nose. It reveals all the peculiarities of the Meunier grape (fruity, rich, sweet, fine, length in the mouth).
